Case 72-0173: Joyce’s Box Pt. 1
What’s in the box?
I received two large boxes from Bruce LePage yesterday.
I dedicated a good part of my day today to reading through her box of schoolwork.
Did you know she earned her pilot’s license at 18? I found her license information in the box and sympathy cards written to the family about her passing.
Joyce was incredibly talented, and how she wrote the letter “s” is so distinguishable. Joyce had a natural talent for her writing that reminded me of my mothers. Joyce was articulate and used creative adjectives. I envy the level of skill she showed throughout high school with her writing.
She deeply understood her studies and scored highly even on her late assignments.
Watch me *totally* not getting emotionally invested…
I broke the main rule that journalists and detectives must follow to focus on the case.
But as I read more and found more information about her, how could I not relate?
I did find an envelope with TWO of the persons of interests’ contact info.
I sent this to Bruce, Joyce’s younger brother, who believes Joyce wrote it.
However, the address for at least one of them is incorrect. This address lists his hometown in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Initially, I believed LePage’s mother to have written this information down. Bruce admitted that his mother had a distinctive way of writing notes. Bruce reports his mother would use the back of envelopes to write notes. I found this note on an envelope; however, the lettering did not match the LePage mothers writing. Instead, how the letter “S” curved and was written was synonymous with Joyce’s writing. This information is irrelevant to the case. But, I found it interesting Joyce picked up on a habit from her mother.
I wonder what I have picked up from my mom…
