Alleged child molester arrested
Juan Trejo Perez, 33, from Mexico, has been arrested for allegedly molesting a teenage boy in Pullman.
Reports say that authorities found Trejo Perez attempting to leave the area at the Moscow Pullman Airport. Reports also say that Trejo Perez admitted to some of the claims against him from the victim.
Trejo Perez was arrested for felony 3rd-degree child molestation. Whitman County Superior Court Commissioner Doug Robinson placed Trejo Perez on a $50,000 bond during his first appearance in court on Monday, October 9. Pending Trejo Perez meets bond and is released, he has been ordered not to leave Whitman or Latah Counties. The prosecutor’s office asked that Trejo Perez be held on a quarter million dollars bond, arguing that he is a flight risk. Commissioner Robinson ruled that the requested bond amount was too high for a lower-level class C felony charge.
Abby St. Andre of the Pullman Police Department reported that on Friday, October 6, he responded to a rape of a teenage boy at an address at SW Lehman Ct.
“ATVP reported a female’s son was raped on Sunday,” said St. Andre.
Officers determined that Juan Trejo Perez reportedly molested a 16-year-old boy earlier in the week. Police learned that Trejo Perez is also a second cousin to the alleged victim. In addition, reports say this is not the only rape the family has dealt with, as another family member raped the victim’s sister.
The alleged victim told police that Trejo Perez had lived at his house for the last few weeks. Trejo Perez’s wife and children live in Mexico.
