The Search for the Original Interview Tapes ENDS!

BIG News Today:

Five audio cassette tapes were at the Whitman County Sheriff’s office this morning.

The tapes have the names of four individuals connected to Joyce. One of these individuals is Joyce’s best friend.

They date back to 1972.

However, the name signed on the envelope is “Don Maupin.”

Maupin was a conspiracy theorist when he handled Joyce’s case. (You can read my opinions on Maupin in my previous posts.)

He [Maupin] knowingly signed off and refused evidence from the ex-wife of one of the persons of interest. That individual has a history of abuse, assault, and more.

Maupin speculated a lot of details in his findings in the case, too.

Tracking him down and asking about the original reel-to-reel audio files may be challenging.

After researching, I did find that he is still alive and living in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I spoke to Sheriff Myers, who is locating a device player to play the cassettes.

In the next few weeks, I will be outlining and creating an analysis of each interview.

The envelopes where the cassettes were placed date back to 8/6/1990 and haven’t been touched since.

This is an incredible find, and I am relieved to have located those interviews.

Photos have been slightly blurred to protect the names of the individuals still under investigation. This case remains open.
